How Certificate Holders Achieve Certification

The certification process varies depending on the organization type. Here is a general overview:

1. Registration in MyRA

  • Creation of an account and build organization’s profile.

  • Selection of the relevant functions the organization performs (e.g., farming, trading, processing).

2. Definition of Certification Scope

  • Submission of details about farms, sites, activities, and products.

  • For farms, upload required data such as geolocation files and indicator metrics.

3. Engagement with a Certification Body

  • Certification Bodies are independent entities authorized to conduct audits.

  • CBs review the documentation, perform audits (remote or on-site), and issue certification decisions.

4. Fill Out of Self-Assessments

  • Farms and Supply Chain Organizations must complete internal evaluations and submit indicator data.

5. Undergo Audit or Endorsement

  • Most organizations will be audited by a Certification Body.

  • Some low-risk supply chain actors may qualify for endorsement instead of a formal audit.

6. Maintain Certification

  • Certification is not a one-time event. Organizations must renew annually, update data, and stay compliant with evolving standards.
