A subcontractor is a separate company that is contracted to perform activities for your company, e.g. slicing. Typically they do not own the RA/UTZ certified product. A contract or agreement exists, in which the activities, conditions and relation between your company and the subcontractor have been specified.

An intermediary is a party that buys and sells your company products for you. A contract or agreement exists, in which the activities, conditions and relation between your company and the intermediary have been specified.

A site is the physical location where the activities of your company or those of your subcontractor are performed. A site may involve multiple farms.
